Thank you so much for inviting me out this year @pinnaclehousing @mlkmuralproject @artworld187 !!!💜💜👩🏼‍🎨👩🏼‍🎨✨✨ 📍Los Suenos Apartments- 500 NW 36th St. Miami, FL 33127 To those who are curious how I began my career as an artist or are a new follower, I’d love to share a little about this piece. 💜👩🏼‍🎨 This floral has always symbolized so much more to me beyond its vibrant colors. The date within the title, Glitch 12.20/ December 20th, represents a day that would alter my life in so many ways. I was 19 years old & in my freshman year of college when my boyfriend, Chris Saiz, was killed in a tragic car accident. I experienced a sadness I had never felt before & turned to my art to comfort & heal my heart & spirit. This date brought me lessons of love, loss, resilience, & faith. It gave me the push to not live my life in fear of failure & to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time artist. I titled this painting in memory of Chris to honor the way he lived his life fearlessly & inspired me to do so. I hope by sharing my story I’ll inspire others to take action & pursue their dreams in this short life we are given! *Glitch 12.20 (canvas version) was also the first painting I ever exhibited in a fair...ever...here at Art Basel Miami / Spectrum in 2016. 🎨✨💜 #artbasel #basel #artbaselmiami #wynwood

  • Some exterior signage I completed this weekend for @tadsofkaty . I love picking up projects like this in between large intricate murals. Painting text is really therapeutic to me & helps me unwind 🖌💆🏼‍♀️ If you haven’t visited Tad’s you’re missing out- everything on their menu is delicious + they have some pretty cool murals inside 😉👩🏼‍🎨
  • 30 days, 230 hours 🎨✈️ My completed mural for Million Air Austin, located at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• I have to start with saying that I am SO grateful to do what I love for a living. I don’t take a single day or a single project for granted. I give every artwork everything I’ve got! I wouldn’t have the opportunity to create these massive murals without the support of clients who have larger than life visions. Huge thank you to Million Air for this canvas! 🎨❤️✈️ S/o to @jerrysaustin for their friendliness & getting cans restocked/ ordered asap for me! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• This mural was the most challenging project I’ve completed to date & with that being said-also the most rewarding. Given the corrugated metal surface, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone & really push myself on this project. I decided the best medium for this surface would be spray paint. This was my 2nd time ever using spray paint on a mural & I knew I had a huge challenge ahead of me from the beginning. I can’t brag enough about the brand I went with.. @montanacans ‘ wide array of colors really enabled me to bring my vibrant vision to life! I’m so proud of the finished piece & overall it was an incredible & humbling learning experience to familiarize myself with spray paint. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤘🎨
